In this video, Mike Pitt discusses, LinkedIn: Inside an Engagement Pod – Part 1.
This video will be of interest B2B marketing managers, Content Marketing professionals, Social Media Managers, business owners, and anyone who uses LinkedIn to promote their business.
LinkedIn recently reached the milestone of 660 million users, it was founded in the living room of Reid Hoffman in 2003. Each year since then it has become even more important for those in B2B businesses. Those businesses that want to grow must become truly effective on the platform. What does truly effective on LinkedIn mean? Well, the answer to that is multi-layered but one aspect is that you must be willing to innovate and develop your approach. Your competitors are also on LinkedIn so you must use creativity to your advantage.
LinkedIn Engagement Pod
A LinkedIn Engagement Pod is a relatively creative way of satisfying the LinkedIn algorithms need for initial engagement for your post. Let me explain, when you publish an update on LinkedIn, LinkedIn looks for social signals to evaluate your post. How many people have liked it? How many people have commented on your post within the first sixty minutes? Also, how many within 24 hours. If these numbers are favourable, LinkedIn will show your post to more people on the platform.
A LinkedIn Engagement Pod is a group that has been formed specifically to support each other’s posts and give them the boost that they need just after they are published. To watch a video explanation, please click here, What are LinkedIn Engagement Pods?
In this video, I demonstrate what it is like inside an Engagement Pod, I also discuss what LinkedIn think about Engagement Pods.
Take Action. Take Control
You may have spotted posts supported by Engagement Pods on LinkedIn, they will have thousands of comments even though the post was only published a few minutes ago.
More than likely, this will be the work of engagement pods. Are you a member of an Engagement Pod? Let me know in the comments section below.
